Story of Betsy Ayala
One woman, Betsy Ayala, 34 found out a few months after giving birth to her daughter that her husband was cheating on her. She accidentally saw text messages between her husband and his colleague and found out that they had been mocking her over her weight.
At that point, she was trying to get into shape when she saw the messages. Ayala was with her husband since the age of 17 and was devoted to him. She was devastated when she found out about the extramarital affair.
Ayala channelled her negative feelings into determination and cut out snacks. She began working out in the gym and doing Zumba.
4 years on, Ayala has lost more than 100 pounds and is a wellness coach for those trying to shed extra kilos.
Ayala said: “Now I honestly feel that what he did was a blessing because otherwise I would have been the way I was forever. I prayed all the time for my life to change and my prayers were answered.”
